Frequently Asked Questions

  • In the continuum between “serious DIYer” and specialists like plumbers or painters, the handyperson sits somewhere in the middle.

Whatever the task is, they’ve done it more than a homeowner, and already made the mistakes along the way. But they are not doing that ONE task every day like a specialist.

For a lot of people, they just need some work done: a room painted, a pipe fixed, a deck repaired. A handyperson will get you a result that’s 90% as good as a specialist, but for maybe half the cost.

So, the bottom line is, unless you need the fastest possible turnaround, or the absolute highest quality, then a handyperson is a great option for a lot folks.

  • Generally, you can only optimize for two of these three things when remodeling: Quality, Cost, Speed.

You pick me b/c I offer high quality at a low cost.

As a one man operation with no particular specialty, I’m not going to remodel your bathroom in a day. But I can work at a steady pace and give you one of the lowest quotes in town.

Essentially, your remodel will cost materials + $250/day. That’s going to turn out WAY cheaper than most contractors. You can hardly get a plumber to set foot in your house for $250.
